The Hardware Association of Victoria (HAV) recently staged their 2nd annual Hardware Awards Night at the mesmerizing Crown Palladium on 18th September 2007.
The Australian Retailers Association’s (ARA) Gala Dinner “Immerse Yourself in Retail” catered to a sold out crowd from all areas of Victoria. The Hardware Association of Victoria is a subsidiary of the ARA and is delighted to be presenting the awards for the second consecutive year and looks forward to a third year in 2008. “Immerse Yourself in Retail” Gala Dinner with an “Under the Water Theme” featured Abby Dobson (Former lead vocalist for Leonardo’s Bride), MC’s Andi Lew (Shopping for Love) & David Mann (3AW).
Retail is a constantly growing and expanding business, one of the true success industries in this modern era. Our awards are designed to recognize the rising young retail stars, breaking new ground in the industry. The awards also focus on rewarding the Stores who strive to make a difference both to their customers and their community. The Hardware Awards consisted of the following categories:-
HAV Store of the Year Award - Small and Large Business
The Store Award is judged on nominee’s performance of customer excellence, innovation and their business strategy to strive to be an employer of choice. In 2007 we saw a phenomenal amount of nominations for the Store of the Year Award in both categories.
HAV Young Retailer of the Year Award – Small and Large Business
The Young Retailer Award showcases the achievements, skills and spirit of young people working in the retail sector. The HAV looks to these young stars to pave a path for others to follow, by demonstration of developed skills, drive and passion within the industry.
HAV Representative – Merchandiser of the Year Award
The Representative - Merchandiser Award is designed to showcase the people that continue to show their customers excellent service and support through their business dealings.
HAV Supplier - Agent of the Year Award
The Supplier – Agent of the Year Award is intended to honor a business that strives to provide a high level of service and support, with no limit to the assistance provided to their customers.
